JobScore + email are now best friends

A lot of recruiting happens in email.. and cutting & pasting information from email into your ATS feels like a big waste of time that slows you down.

Our  new Email Tracking feature empowers your team to add information to JobScore by simply sending an email. Email Tracking includes 3 email “inboxes” to add resumes, track candidate email correspondence and add notes.

Email Tracking is part of the $249/mo Premium Plan and our new $499/mo Enterprise Plan.

The Resume Inbox

Now when candidates send you resumes you can just forward them to resume@inbox.jobscore.com as an attachment and click send. Done.

The resume inbox is also a great way to supercharge your internal referral program - your team can add referrals JobScore by just sending an email.

The Email Inbox

Get candidate emails into JobScore using your own email client (gmail, hotmail, whatever) without logging in. You can store emails two ways:

1. Add bcc@inbox.jobscore.com to the bcc: line when you compose an email to a candidate.
2. Forward messages you receive from candidates to: bcc@inbox.jobscore.com

The email inbox makes easy to track both emails sent to candidates and their responses for all to see.

The Notes Inbox

Capturing feedback and discussions about candidates just got super-easy… now your team doesn’t even have to log in to add notes to JobScore!

Using the notes inbox is simple - just reply to messages sent from JobScore that have ## reply above this line ## at the top of the message and whatever you write in your reply will be added as a note.

Notes in JobScore just got radically better

Note alert emails

JobScore can now let you know when your colleagues add notes to candidates.

Here’s how it works: we’ve added a “note alerts” control for each member of the hiring team for every job.  When you turn on note alerts that person is  notified every time someone else adds a note to a candidate.

Click here to adjust your note alert settings »

Add notes by email

You’ll now see “Reply above this line” at the top of many JobScore emails. When you reply to these emails the text and attachments of your response are added to JobScore as a note.

This is great for hiring managers and mobile email users - it make it super-simple to add feedback without logging into the system.

Capture email discussions in notes

Turning on note alerts for your entire hiring team makes it easy to capture conversations about candidates by just replying to emails… there’s no need to log in or remember to cut-and paste information into the system - the team can use email naturally and the entire discussion will be saved in JobScore.

Adding notes by email and capturing email discussions are only available for employers on our Premium Plan. Not on the premium plan?

Upgrade Instantly »

Multi-user private notes

Need to share information with only a few people? Now when you make a note private you can allow other specific people to access it. This is particularly useful when recruiters and hiring managers need to share compensation information with each other - give it a try!

Multi-user private notes make note alerts much more usable. Only want a few people to be notified about a note instead of everyone? Just make it private.

Preview notes, tasks & emails

When a candidate is further along in the process they often already have many logged notes, emails and tasks

When you add a add new notes to one of these candidates many times you need to refer to old notes, tasks and emails… Now you can easily click to preview notes, emails and tasks inline - there’s no need to leave the page then come back and start over!

Don’t forget…

Notes were great before this update!  Cool features include

  • Format notes in HTML and attach documents
  • Full text search of all notes
  • Build re-usable note templates to store screening and interview scripts.
  • Easily add a note, change status, add a task & send email all on one page.

New Features and Enhancements

Here’s a quick summary of new features to look out for. Many of these enhancements were prioritized because folks like you voted them up in the JobScore ideas forum. Have something you’d like to see in JobScore? Suggest an idea today.

Note Templates

Admins can now add, edit and delete note   templates.   All users can view and use note  templates.

Why:You wanted checklists to conduct phone screens and collect interview feedback - templates help make sure you don’t miss details.

Decline Email Templates / Thank You Notes

Admins can now create multiple
decline / no thank you emails in addition to the “standard decline” email template.

Why:Providing a quality candidate experience requires you to say “no” to candidates in different ways depending on where they are in the process.

Publish / Un-Publish Jobs

Leave jobs open but have them not appear on your careers site - stopping all new job applications.

Why: Sometimes you need to work on a job and not have it posted on your careers site.

Withdrawn Status

Candidates can now be marked as declined (meaning you said no) or withdrawn (meaning the candidate chose not to continue the process).

Why:Many of you want to know how often candidates are opting out of the process - something worth paying attention to!

Job Requisition Numbers

When lists of jobs are shown, requisition numbers are displayed next to job titles.

Why:Many of you are working on the same job in more than one location, or filling jobs with the same title and over again - this makes it easier to figure out which job is which!

Fill Job Wizard

When you fill a job / hire a candidate you are
directed to a simple but powerful step-by-step “hire candidate” wizard.

Why:This makes it easy to complete your hiring checklist - and was necessary for accurate time-to-hire and source-of-hire reporting.

New Filter Controls

There are new multi-select controls in the filter on the candidate manager.

Why: Some of your job lists are getting long - this makes it easier to select groups of jobs.

Recruiting Analytics

What gets measured gets managed

We spend a lot of time trying to make it easy for you to work smart. But sometimes working smart isn’t enough - you need hard numbers to prove a point.

JobScore’s new Recruiting Analytics get you the data you need to optimize your recruiting process and spend. We’ve improved our core reports and we’ve added new charts and exportable reports that illustrate activity across your entire company.

Recruiting Analytics

Sources: Investigate exactly where your candidates are coming from. Slice and dice by source type, job and time range, drilling down to your heart’s content.

Status: See the total number of candidates that reach each status compared to how many are currently in each status.

Velocity: Shows how long candidates spend in each status, exposing process bottlenecks that slow you down.

History: Know exactly how often different actions are performed by each user. Cut the data by user, job or across your entire organization for the last week, month, quarter or year.

Export: No matter how pretty and colorful we make our charts, some of you just need spreadsheets. So we added easy one-click export-to-Excel buttons. Enjoy!

Source Quality

JobScore Recruiting Analytics are only available for Plus and Premium account holders. Plans start at $99 per month and JobScore account Admins can upgrade here.

Updates

In October, we established a direct relationship with Monster. That means significant savings on 30 day Monster.com postings in the USA. Check out our new price on the post job page.

We’ve updated our LinkedIn job posting integration to deliver the experience you asked for. Now, when you buy LinkedIn job postings through JobScore you can:
  • Choose to show job seekers who is hiring for each job.
  • Have jobs appear on your LinkedIn Company Page - attach your LinkedIn Company ID here.
  • Include referral rewards (cash or text) with your postings.

We added another free board for USA based customers: JobCentral, which is operated by Direct Employers, a nonprofit dedicated to improving labor market efficiency.

We started walking the Social Recruiting walk
this summer, adding the ability to share jobs through LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google. We want to make it ridiculously easy for people to share jobs with their network to generate more referrals - and some of you are already getting results. We’re about to take it up another notch. We willl be running a webinar to go over all our new social recruiting and referral features on December 7th @ 10AM. Reserve your spot here.

There’s also a new Reports tab where JobScore Admins can see what’s happening across all of your jobs. New reports include:
  • Job Board and Job Sharing reports that show  activity levels and track effectiveness.

New Features

New features

Total job postings and applications across the JobScore Network doubled in the past few months. Employed, talented people are looking for new challenges and we’re here to help you streamline recruiting. This update outlines a few of the dozens of changes we recently made because you asked for them. We’re always listening and we love feedback. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions, send suggestions or email me at dan@jobscore.com.

Job Documents

Store job-specific documents (assessments, spreadsheets, NDAs, contracts - you name it) in JobScore so the entire team can quickly find what they need.

Decline / Thank You Emails

Easily send thank you letters as you decline applicants: zing a standard email with one click, craft a custom message or send no email at all - it’s up to you. You can modify your default thank you letter and send thank you letters to many applicants at the same time.

Improved Navigation

Get more done and move your mouse less using powerful new action menus and our updated candidate, job and user screens.

More Popular Job Boards

We launched one-click posting integrations with two more boards: www.dice.com- the leading job for technical talent and www.krop.com – a top destination for graphic designers and other creative professionals

Multi-tasking

To disposition a candidate you often have to do several things at the same time … add a note, add a task and update candidate status. We know that fewer clicks= yummy goodness so we built a page where you can do all of those things at once.

Search Everything

We overhauled search. No really, it’s all new. Before you could only search resume text… now you can search every candidate attribute and see highlighted results. This includes names, employers, job titles, schools, notes, cover letters, email addresses and phone numbers.
